Macaroon's story
Macaroon is just learning how this beloved family dog thing works and is currently a fan of the drive-by-sniff-and-lick. He wants to trust you and be near you, but isn't quite sure how. He may run up and lick your knee, then maybe give your toes some gentle nibbles and a good sniff. He'll accept a few butt scratches, then go see what the other dogs are up to. But once he trusts you, he's likely to be a very affectionate companion - even before he's ready to pet, he likes to stay close by and will even protest a little when you leave the room. Macaroon's eyes are gorgeous ice blue and always look so serious, though his derpy tongue-out expression give him away as a goofball. He LOVES playing with other dogs and that's where his personality really shines through. He wrestles, chases, hops around excitedly and would love a home with another dog or two or three to keep him company. Dogs really seem to help him warm up faster to people and feel safer. He also likes to run around on his own, trying to herd the furniture. He'll run by things, rubbing his body against them as he goes slowly moving them closer to the center of the room! He's making good progress on his leash-training and LOVES going for walks with his doggie friends. He's also making good progress on his house-training and lets you know when he needs to go out. Goofy, active, playful and smart, Macaroon is full of personality and will make a wonderful addition to any number of loving homes, though he'd do best in a house with a yard and some doggie companions to help show him the ropes.
