Great Pyrenees - Snow White - Large - Adult - Male - Dog
Snow White is a beauty.
But we all know that, if we have read any fairy tales at all.
Gorgeous coat, gorgeous form, and beautiful eyes.
Eyes that hold a lot of sadness. Dark and lovely, but with a hint of mystery. What's behind that is hard to say. Snow White is the recent mother of a litter of pups, weaned at 3 to 4 weeks - perhaps they were weaned too soon?
But Snow White tries. She likes to cuddle, and wants to sit next to you. When cuddling while watching television, she will put her head on her foster's shoulder and gaze into her eyes. She loves to be next to her companion, and will paw to receive more pets.
Snow White wants to please; she is very gentle and sweet. But she is not submissive. She feels she should be an equal member of her household; as such, she sits on the furniture. While she is learning how to play--she tries with the chew toys that are offered her--she has not yet figured what play means. As soon as those toys bore her, she will destroy them. Still, she likes small rawhides.
Snow White is a naturally protective, yet gentle girl. When she feels the ones she loves are threatened, her protective nature kicks in. She doesn't become aggressive; she simply lets those who threaten her know that she is watching her companions, by barking at strangers who move outside her house, or pulling at the leash if a strange dog comes along during her walk.
And she loves her walks. This smart girl will wait patiently for those, not bolting out the door, but sitting while she is leashed. Most of the time, she is perfect on a leash, occasionally she will pull. Snow White needs some training in walking. With that training she would probably be a great companion for jogs and runs.
She is already a great pal on drives. Snow White loves car rides. But, most of all, she loves time with her companion, receiving all of his or her attention, whether that's in play, cuddling, travel, or frequent grooming. She wants to trust her companion; she wants to spend time with him or her.
This smart beauty would thrive in a home where she is both loved and protected and is allowed to love and protect. She is a big dog, so a yard where she could play, stretch out, sniff around, and run, would be good. Snow White is a bit of a diva, so she would do best as an only dog. She likes a regular routine and a daily challenge, so be prepared to keep both her body and her mind active.
But who said being a charming prince was going to be easy? The only promise you do have is that the rewards will be great. As in Snow White. A big, loving, protective, beauty of a fairy tale heroine.
