We are the premiere Martial Arts Academy in Austin, TX promoting expertMartial Arts training in the central Texas area.  We have been in the Austin community for over a decade and recognized as Austin's Martial Arts Leader.
Austin Karate Academy is one of the best Austin Martial Arts schools in Austin, TX.  We train in Tang Soo Do Martial Arts which is a 2000 years old traditional Korean Martial Arts which and is recognized as a way of life.  In earlier times, Martial Arts Masters from Korea, China, and Okinawa freely travelled abroad and exchanged techniques and ideas.  Thus, Tang Soo Do contains contributions from Chinese Kungfu, Okinawan and Japanese Karate, and traditional Korean Martial Arts.
Training in our Martial Arts Academy employs the use of empty hand, foot and weapon self defense. Physically, Tang Soo Do Martial Arts is based on the principles of yielding, circular motion and penetration. However as an art, Tang Soo Do Martial Arts combines all aspects, such as effort to live with developmental principles, defensive and offensive skills, developing power and living a healthy and harmonious life. Conceptually, it is a defensive art and should never be used violently or excessively. Every Tang Soo Do Martial Arts student at the Austin Karate Academy  has a goal not only to possess excellent self-defense techniques, but more importantly, to develop and perfect one?s character leading to a more harmonious and balanced lifestyle. The roots of Tang Soo Do Martial Arts can be traced back about 2,000 years. For more information, please visit the official website at:
