Sr. Electrical and Controller Engineers Austin, TXThe Electrical Engineer will bring seven to ten years of experience with two to three of those years spent working with electric motor drive systems greater than 2.5kW.Candidates will need a fundamental understanding of control systems as they apply to three-phase electric motor drives and a solid understanding of digital signal processing concepts. A background involving high-power FETs, IGBTs, and other solid state switching devices is desired; electric or hybrid-electric vehicle engineering experience is a plus. Candidates should possess a Bachelor?s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering that specializes in electric motor drives, power electronics, and control systems.The Controller Engineer role requires a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical or Computer Engineering and five to ten years of experience in the field, with three to five years of direct experience with solid state inverters & controllers for 10kW 3.A working knowledge of classic control theory applied to variable speed electric motor drives and experience with integration of controllers into propulsion systems, including the tuning of such systems for overall performance is needed. Electric or hybrid-electric vehicle engineering experience is a huge plus!Both positions call for a team player, excellent communication and verbal skills, and the ability to work well with others, as well as independently.
