Larry Domestic Shorthair Senior Male for sale in Austin, Texas

Larry's story
Lovebug, Persistent, Understanding After more than 16 years on the planet, Larry is a guy who knows what he wants and how to get it. His goal is to be in your lap, so the moment he meets you (if you are sitting down), he will jump into your lap! But he is happy to sit next to you, too. Larry is super friendly to all people, and would probably do well in a home with little humans - as long as they gently patted him A LOT, and didn't want to play with him. He just wants to interact affectionately, which includes headbutts, rubbing up against you, and giving you the Googly Eyes. When you come home from work, Larry will be there to exuberantly greet you! He will meow and rub his love all over you, and then follow you around. He is tall, almost like small-dog-sized, with a face that is masculine and handsome. He has one eye that looks like it is winking at you - which he might be doing, flirt that he is! Larry is old enough to know that life is sweeter if he gets along with others, so he is good with other low-key cats. (As long as he doesn't have to compete for lap time; so a home with multiple laps would be great!) Larry isn't interested in playing anymore, he just likes to hang out and lounge around, all mellow-like. If another cat in the house tries to get him to play, Larry will give him a gentle warning that he is not interested. Larry needs to eat a kidney-supporting diet and drink lots of water (so he might like a kitty fountain in his new home?). Due to his old teeth, wet food is easier for him. He doesn't do stairs, due to his advanced age and diminished flexibility and balance; so a one-level home is perfect for him. If you have an enclosed backyard, he would love to go on walks out there with you, or sit on the patio! (Always supervised; he doesn't always realize that he is a senior cat, so it's up to you to keep an eye on him.) Larry's home should be with people who want a loving, older lap cat, who value him as a family member, and who want to connect with, care for, and keep safe this adorable sweetheart.
