Sunrise Boxer Adult Female in Austin, Texas

My story
Introducing Sunrise, a gorgeous house trained 3-year-old Boxer mix with an adorable brown patch over one eye. Sunrise is friendly with most dogs she encounters on her walks, especially dogs of a similar size. Sunrise is incredibly cuddly. She would love to join you on the couch. She will put her head in your lap, and lean on you, she just wants to be close. She will follow you to whatever room you are hanging out in. Sometimes she likes a bit of me time and will go in her crate. She is very sweet and cuddly but will give you personal space. She needs a daily playtime even if it is short with toys and tug of war, or maybe fetch. She loves to sleep with her foster and snuggle. Sunrise does great in a crate while her foster is away. She just sleeps, and this means you can leave her in her crate while you go out and about running your errands and can relax knowing she is safe inside her crate. Her leash manners have gotten better- she can still be tuggy at times but it is well managed with a harness that clips in the front. Sunrise can get easily overheated in the summertime so it's important to be prepared for that if she is being walked on a hot summer day. It's best for Sunrise to avoid the hottest parts of the day. She generally does well meeting new people. She is a little hesitant around certain men. If someone comes over on her walks, she is all smiles and excitement. A perfect day would be a short to moderate morning walk, lots of pets and snuggles. Sunrise loves an outing-ride in the car preferably to a park or place to explore. Sunrise enjoys lots of nap times, preferably with her human nearby and a comfy space. Later she enjoys long evening walks when it's cool and a play sesh with her human and toys after. Sunrise can be pretty silly. Sunrise really likes to be with people, so her ideal home would be parents who are home a lot and want to take her with them on outings (car rides) and adventures (parks, hikes). She needs to be active and have adventures daily, but is not an overly active dog. She would do fine in a feline-free home with older kids. She enjoys sleeping and cuddling a lot as well. She is a bit strong and has manners to learn so parents with training experience would be good and someone who will enforce boundaries gently. She is not a fan of thunderstorms or fireworks (who can blame her!), so someone who can be patient during those times is ideal. Her ideal day is probably one short walk, one moderate walk, one long walk and a few pee breaks. Sunrise would ideally do best in a house with another dog playmate who is around her size. Do you have room in your home and a place in your heart for the lovely charming Sunrise? Come meet Sunrise today!
